^^pretty much put anything healthy and liquid, add fresh kale or spinach, and frozen fruits
WHEN IN DOUBT, MAKE A GREEN SMOOTHIE
One of the favorite things I eat or drink is Green Smoothies. By Green smoothies I mean smoothies made out of at least part veggies. (hence the “green) I love smoothies and I think I always will. I use Ninja Blender for my smoothies, had it for over a year now, used it over 100 times and it still works like a champ. I recommend a Ninja blenders. I have not used Nutribullet / Magic Bullet brand, but I heard they work well too. So either of those two (or other reliable brands) should work. I am mentioning this early on bec. You can’t make a smoothie without these high speed , high powered blenders. My Ninja blender is I believe 1100 watt, don’t go too low on wattage when purchasing them.
All my smoothies have fruits in it as default, if all at possible it must have frozen fruits , because I don’t add ice to my smoothies. Without frozen fruits your smoothie will be either not cold enough, or worse yet, warm, so it’s crucial to add frozen mixed fruits. I buy a big bag of them at Sam’s Club (or Costco/BJ’s)
Secondly I pluck / harvest organically home grown Kale from my backyard and that becomes my base for my green smoothie. I put maybe 4-6 medium size leaves in there. I understand 99 percent of you don’t have that, so simple solution is to buy kale or organic greens (spinach recommended) or even if not organic you will need either kale, or spinach or other greens. You can be creative with it, but those greens are some of the best nutritionally and available widely so I prefer them.
Next if I have fresh fruits I add them. I use any and all fruits that I come across, it can be from pineapples, apples, tangerines or oranges, I love bananas in it, I also love avocados sometimes in it.
Add chia seeds if you have them
Add raw, natural (untreated unsalted) almonds, or any other nuts that are raw and natural, if you have them. If you don’t have them, don’t worry about it.
Add orange juice
Add milk. I just eyeball the amount, flow with it.
Voila, you have an awesome smoothie that will make you stronger, brighter, and more awesome human being. I understand they can be expensive – trust me I am a graduate student and haven’t worked a regular job in a year so I know – so work within your budget. Try to get at least spinach or kale, and frozen fruits, and orange juice and/or milk and your set.Drink green smoothies on a regular basis. You will become stronger and better and more awesome!:pPhil
