I love my neighborhood Taco Truck, it’s called Taqueria Hernandez, off of 103rd on West Side of Jacksonville, which is on the way back home for me. that name is almost cliche’d as I actually used to know of another place (or two) named exactly that either in California or Las Vegas. This is much more common in California, and I’ve always loved Taco Trucks. my grad school classes are usually in the evening and on the way back after a 40-45 minute drive is just a quick, cheap meal that doesn’t make you regret the minute you bite into the food a couple times – Like McDonalds and other fast food that would be. I used to go to Subway ever since I learned they at least started opening late, but it has its limitations and I want something more substantial, I get their Al Pastor or Carne Asada burrito or taco, burrito is $6 plus tax taco is i think $2.50 its just near impossible to beat a meal that is actually legitimately quality food that is same or similar price as a fast food meal, or only a couple of dollars more at the most. They are immigrant workers obviously from Mexico most likely or another Latin/South American country and they are friendly and because they see me often they treat me like a friend, I like it a lot. I am thankful ever since they started their business only a month or two ago, now I have an awesome food that I can get 6 days a week and especially when I am hungry after a long hard class at Grad School.
