Popping Corn kernels
Oil (corn, vegetable or penut)
Salt (seasalt or kosher, or pink himalayan salt)
Kernel Season’s brand Movie Theeater Butter (in liquid form)
Kernel Season’s Butter Popcorn seasoning (powder form) optional, but recommended
large pot with lidDirectioncoat the bottom of the pot with oil of your choice.
pour in the raw corn kernels, coat it, be sure to make it one layer only and generally even.
see to it that the kernels are submerged in oil or partly submerged
heat the stove to low-medium heat
close the lid
monitor it as the corn kernels will start popping.
let it pop, and adjust heat as desired (I generally lower it a bit)optional step:
gently shake the pot to induce more poppingwhen popcorn are all done, remove the pot from the heat source. they won’t actually be “all done”, just use discretion, and when the popping sounds less frequently than a couple seconds at a time, it’s time to remove the pot from the heat. Turn off the stove, And move the pot to a cool place on the stovetop to help stop heating up further.heat up the liquid butter mixture in microwave until quite warm but not super hotshake in some salt – use your discretion, put enough to make it tasty, but don’t put too much
shake the pot a bit for a while, to make the salt distribute. you may need to divide up the load into a different pot or mixing bowl / container.
pour the liquid butter that has been warmed up in the microwave
shake the popcorn some more, distribute the delcious butter
(optional but recommended step)
shake in some of that delicious butter powder seasoning on top, and shake them. use slightly less salt if you are using the powder for the doubleup flavor, as the powder has some salt in it as well. but don’t shy from the salt, it’s important to put enough to make it tasty.. you may have to make it a couple of times, but once you have found the right formula and a couple times under your belt, you will suddenly realize, that you have finally mastered the Movietheater quality popcorn enjoyed right at home!
